Our First Eligible Cruise Winners!

Our first eligible winners of the Cruise contest are Steven and Gracie King from Natalia, Texas (shown here with Entity Educator Christina Gonzales). How did they accomplish their goal so quickly? They leveraged the support of Advantage meetings in their area and regional vice-president Steve Scearcy. Congratulations Steven and Gracie!

Several weeks ago, I was asked by a new Advantage member who was beginning to invite other nail artists to join Entity Advantage, “How do you decide who to invite and support in Entity Advantage when you have limited time to devote to your Entity business?”

It is a question that many of you have as you balance working full time in a salon and focusing a few hours each week toward winning our Caribbean Cruise Celebration.

Here is my answer in a simple guiding philosophy: “I move, you move.” “I move” first by investing in the relationship. “I move” by helping you learn about the quality of Entity products and the many personal and professional rewards of joining Entity Advantage.

As “I move”, I hope that “you move” too. If you respond by attending an Advantage meeting and getting excited about Entity products, you send me the signal to invest again in the relationship, and “I move” again. Perhaps my next investment is to come to Advantage Training with you, or inspire your career by introducing you to Entity’s world championship nail artists.

If and when you decide to stop “moving”, then I must move on to help someone else who wants to match energies with me. I move, you move. This simple philosophy will save you so much time and potential headaches. It will guide your decisions on how to invest your valuable time, and make your valuable time much more effective.

Over the past two months, the number of Advantage Members has doubled. By year-end we expect to have 1,000 Advantage Members. What an exciting response to a program that is igniting the artistry and careers of many nail artists!

And to mark our achievement together, we had to create a celebration you wouldn’t forget. I hope that you will join us on the first ever Entity Cruise Celebration. We promise to make this an exciting trip, one that you will remember for years to come!

As a new nail technician, I was struggling with everything. I felt like I was treading water. I was experimenting with all different product lines, taking as many classes as I could and reading everything I could get my hands on. I saw the Entity ad and a light went off…who better to create superior products than world champion nail artists!

When I found out Entity also offered training –that was a no brainer for me! Entity’s Studio Training was a pivotal point for my career. Having been licensed for only eight months at the time, I was able to learn quickly because I didn’t have years of bad habits to toss out. I also learned about the competitions, and decided to give it a whirl…and now I’m hooked! Being a part of Entity’s Competition Team is a blast. But its not all fun and games, every competition I learn more and more. The dynamic support and critiquing help me not only for my competition nails, but I take what I learn back to the salon and my clients benefit too. My clients brag about me to all their friends and I have received more referrals just because they tell their friends I compete. Sometimes I think my clients are more excited for competitions than I am!

One thing I have noticed about Tom, Tom, Alicia, and Lee-Anne, is that they are never too busy to help and they unselfishly share their ideas, techniques and little tricks. To me that is invaluable. Now we have the Entity Advantage program. Yea! More training, more one-on-one time with the best artists out there, more advantages for using superior products and telling others about them…another no brainer! I am so happy to be a part of the Entity Advantage program. I can’t wait to see where this takes me.

Recently, as I sat across the table from our co-founder, and my long time friend, Tom Bachik, it occurred to me just how far the two of us had come since we first met roughly nine years ago. When I first met Tom we were both at the early stages of our career and we each were overflowing with ambitions and dreams. Now, sitting across from him, I found myself looking at a man who had the unwavering confidence and intense passion of someone who has experienced an incredible achievement and long-term goal.

He and our other co-founder, Tom Holcomb didn’t arrive at their goals by accident. Arriving at their destination required many steps along the way. Each of them consistently built the foundation necessary to achieve their goals. In essence, Entity Beauty is the culmination of over 30 years of combined experience and achievement.

As I listened to Tom passionately discussing the future vision of Entity Beauty, I realized that although he had just achieved one of his most significant professional goals, he had already begun to set his sights on the future. He had already established a new vision and had begun the process of working toward his next goal.

It wouldn’t be very effective to attempt to drive cross-country to a destination we had never visited without a map. Yet, when it comes to our goals in life, we often set out without a plan. We dream about where we want to go, but we never develop a map of how to get there.

Just as with a road trip, having a clear direction – a road map - helps us reach our destination. Goal setting, however, is more than scribbling down ideas on a sheet of paper, it is clear and focused much like a roadmap. If you follow the suggestions I’ve outlined below, you will be able to build an effective map and plan of action to reach your goals:

  1. Make sure your goals are something you truly want, not just something that sounds good.
You will most likely encounter obstacles on your way to reaching your goal. The stronger your desire and motivation, the more momentum you will have to overcome those obstacles.
  2. Make sure your goals are in alignment with each other.
If one of your goals is to buy a million-dollar home, you can’t do that if your income goal is only $50,000 per year. Your goals have to be checked for alignment.
  3. Develop goals for all areas of your life, not just professionally.
You should set goals for unique areas of your personal life. Some examples would be goals that are educational, financial, spiritual, related to your family, etc. By establishing goals for many areas of your life, you ensure a more balanced experience and can better avoid the pitfall mentioned in step 2.
  4. Establish your goals in the positive rather than negative sense.
Focus on what you want to achieve and not what you want to leave behind. Part of the reason we write our goals is to give the subconscious part of our mind instructions to be carried out. The more positive the instructions you create, the more positive the results you will receive.
  5. Establish goals that contain elaborate detail.
For example, instead of writing down ‘buy a new car’ try writing something like ‘buy a silver 2007 Mercedes CLK convertible with grey leather seats and top of the line stereo system.’ Can you close your eyes and visualize the car I described above? Now imagine the feel of the leather steering wheel in your hand, the smell of new leather as you sit in the car for the first time, and the wind blowing through your hair as you travel down the road with your favorite song on the radio. Do you see how these details help bring your goal into laser sharp focus and make it more real for you?
  6. Make sure your goal is high enough.
You’ve probably heard the saying ‘Shoot for the moon; you may land among the stars.’ An important benefit of working toward a lofty goal is the achievements you will make along the way. Even at times when we fall short of a goal, we are farther along the path and much better off than when we first began.
  7. Write down your goals!
Writing down your goals begins the process of creating your roadmap, which will help set the process in motion. Written goals also provide you with a reference that will help you identify and focus on actions that bring you closer to your goal and help avoid those that interfere or waste your time. Refer to your written goals daily and when planning your daily activities ask yourself ‘Does this bring me closer to my goals?’
Each of us has skills and talents that make us unique. However, talent isn’t a guarantee of success. By taking an active role in your own future, you will increase your ability to achieve massive success.

On that note, Entity Beauty was created with a singular mission – to empower you, the nail artist. We currently have many opportunities available for those who wish to pursue a career as a part of our competition or education teams or in the area of sales management and leadership. We encourage you to share your goals with your local Entity leader and allow us to help you along your career path.

“A goal without action is a dream. A dream without vision is a nightmare.”

What are the benefits of using Entity Cuticle Oil?

Entity Cuticle Oil was created using a proprietary blend of essential oils. This replenishing treatment penetrates deep within the natural and acrylic nail, increasing strength and flexibility.

Finish your acrylic service by massaging Cuticle Oil into the nail and surrounding skin. The oil will penetrate the acrylic nail helping to speed the rate of cure and provide a protective cushioning within the nail itself, helping to prevent cracking and breaking. In addition, the Cuticle Oil is enriched with vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants, such as Avocado Oil, Hemp Seed Oil, Apricot Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sweet Almond Oil and Aloe Extract to nourish the cuticle area and keep the skin soft and supple. This is a perfect home maintenance product to retail to your clients, and a great gift for the holidays.
