Member Profile: A Cruise Celebration Story

Tina Ciesla won the cruise in the last few days of the contest period, however, her story started many years ago. Tina has been a nail professional for over 20 years. She has owned her own hair and nail salon and boutique in Birmingham, Alabama for 12 years. Last July, Tina noticed the Entity Beauty opportunity in Nails and Nails Pro magazines. Tina also noticed the positive feedback from other nail artists. After ordering and using Entity products she became an Advantage Member all on her own.

Not having a sponsor or regional representative in her state, she became proactive and even scheduled an event at her salon to get others excited. Not knowing exactly how to go about it, she ordered extra product and even literature to use during the event in hopes of attracting new members. We would love to tell you that the event was a smashing success and that she signed numerous new members and lived happily ever after, but such was not the case. Not one person showed and she couldn't believe that the RSVPs left her standing there, all alone and discouraged. She was dejected to say the least, but continued to believe in the benefits of membership.

Tina contacted Advantage members in neighboring cities and states, and acquired the state list of manicurists. She then contacted her regional sale vice-president and almost insisted that we bring the show to her. After many e-mails and phone calls she got her wish, a full blown Advantage Meeting right in her own home town. She helped locate a hotel and even sent her own invitations to salons.

To make a long story short, 14 new members became part of the Advantage plan that day. That was December 10. Now re-motivated, Tina continued to walk the walk and talk the talk. With just one week left in December, Tina networked with other nail artists, dropped off products for salons to try, and was able to recruit three new members between Christmas and New Years.

When we asked Tina why she worked so hard she replied, "The Cruise was exciting to win but that's not why I am sponsoring people. I may not even be able to take the cruise due to a conflict with my daughter's dance competition. I think Entity is a wake up call to the other companies in the industry. We are turning a lot of heads because of the Advantage Rewards Membership Plan, and this as a ground floor opportunity. I like telling other technicians about superior products and programs. I am helping them and the magic of duplication by word of mouth is the best endorsement you can get. Not to mention that the art of doing beautiful nails is easier with Entity products and training. I will look forward to receiving the check in the mail and hopefully many other Entity opportunities."
